INFORMATION PRIVACY PRACTICE

Protecting your privacy is important to the Geneva Area School Employees Credit Union, Inc.  (GASECU) and our employees.  This notice applies to the information sharing practices of GASECU.  We want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it along with any nonaffiliated third parties.  The following policy serves as a standard for all GASECU employees for collection, use, retention, and security of your nonpublic personal information.  We reserve the right to amend the policy at any time.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about you from the following sources.

*  Information we receive from you on memebership applications, loan applications, or other forms, such as name, address, and Social Security Number;

*  Information about your transactions with us, such information about balances and payment histroy.

*  Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies such as your credit history, credit score, etc.

"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing you with financial services.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not share nonpublic information about you with any other nonaffliiated third parties, except as permited by law.  For example

*  We will share information with government entities as required by law, such as seding annual statements of earning to the IRS and to other third parties such as reporting account activity to credit bureaus or in response to subponenas;

*  We may disclose all the information we collect as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.  For your protection, however, we require other third parties to agree to maintain the confidentiality of the information to at least the same extent that we do and not to use or further disclose the information for other purposes;

*  We are also permitted to share information with service companies we hire to assist us on servicing you Geneva Area School Employees Credit Union, Inc. products and services such as your deposit accounts or with other companies to carry out your request such as processing your checks.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive member, we will continue to follow the privacy policies and practices as described in this statement.

PROTECTION OF INFORMATION

We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or service to you.  Our employees are educated and trained on the importance of confidentiality and privacy of customer information.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with state and fedreral regulations to guard your nonpublic information.
